As his health deteriorated because of the leaky heart valve, only a transplant could cure the condition and allow Choudhrie to live a healthy life.

The transplant had been prescribed for years as crucial to his survival; however, he needed a healthy donor heart for the transplant. At the eleventh hour, fortune knocked on the door, and Choudhrie received a new heart. Choudhrie owes his life to the surgery, which he claims actually comprised more than a simple heart transplant; instead, Choudhrie says, the surgery actually was a life transplant, which allows him to feel more connected with people.
